Xylan® Coatings

LoneStar Fasteners is approved by Whitford Corporation to apply a complete range of their high performance Xylan® baked on coatings, and has worked closely with Whitford in the transition to low VOC (Volatile Organic Content) topcoats without sacrifice in quality or performance

Xylan® coatings have a broad range of properties which make them ideal for a variety of applications. Xylan® differs from traditional Fluoropolymer coatings in one very important aspect, they are composite materials. Lubricants with the lowest-known coefficient of friction are combined with the newest high temperature resistant organic polymers to create Xylan® coatings. Together these ingredients form "plastic alloys" with unique properties:

• Wide operating temperature range, from -385º F to +545º F
• Outstanding corrosion and chemical resistance
• Excellent adhesion and pliability properties
• Low coefficient of friction
• Superb wear resistance
• Flexible curing schedule
• Wide color range

The result is a thin, continuous, protective barrier that resists chipping, galling, abrasion, cold flow, temperature extremes and weathering in a wide range of corrosive environments.
